The Vision after 55 program provides services and support to individuals 55+ with blindness or low vision by providing education in adjusting to vision loss, home management, mobility, and assistive technology.  We also facilitate educational support groups that are both fun and instructive in techniques for managing vision loss.  Our computer lab houses an array of devices to help with vision impairment, including computer software, magnifiers, readers, talking clocks, specialized cooking equipment, and many other items.  When there is a financial need related to purchasing low-vision equipment, we assist with locating and applying  for this funding.

We sponsor a quarterly education series called MagnifEyed Living, which features speakers on topics such as assistive technology,  balance, mobility, nutrition for your eyes, and home safety.  We work closely with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and with the Curtis Strong Center to help you obtain the resources you need.
