The Low Vision Program

The Low Vision program provides services and support to individuals with blindness or low vision by providing education in adjusting to vision loss, home management, mobility, and assistive technology.  We also facilitate educational support groups that are both fun and instructive in techniques for managing vision loss.  Our computer lab houses an array of devices to help with vision impairment, including computer software, magnifiers, readers, talking clocks, specialized cooking equipment, and many other items.  When there is a financial need related to purchasing low-vision equipment, we assist with locating and applying  for this funding.

We work closely with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and with the Curtis Strong Center to help obtain the resources needed.
